Frequently asked questions
How do I choose between air con & HVAC technicians in Thornlie?
Compare two or three. Check each one's licence on your state regulator's public register, read recent reviews, look at photos of similar jobs, and ask for a written, itemised quote. A business that is owner verified on Aussie Builders Directory has confirmed it runs the listing.
How much does an HVAC contractor cost?
It depends on the size of the job, materials, access, and how soon you need it done. Most trades quote a fixed price for a defined job and an hourly rate for repairs and call-outs. Asking two or three local businesses for a written quote is the quickest way to see the going rate in Thornlie.
Do air con & HVAC technicians need to be licensed?
Most residential trade work in Australia must be done by a licensed contractor, and building work above a set value needs a written contract and home warranty insurance. The rules differ by state, so check the licence number before work starts. Listings marked "Licensed" show a licence or certification on their profile.
What does "serves this area" mean?
Some businesses are based in a nearby suburb but travel to jobs here. On suburb pages we list businesses based in the suburb first, then the ones that say they serve it.
How do free quotes work?
Tell us about the job once. We match your request with up to 3 air con & HVAC technicians near you. A business on a paid plan here gets it with your name and contact details and can contact you directly. A business on the free plan sees the job and your suburb but not your details, so it can't contact you unless it upgrades. A business that hasn't claimed its listing sees your request only once it claims. After you send, we tell you which applies to each business. It's free and there's no obligation.
